Provero Terms of Use

Licence and scope

These Terms of Use are the end-user licence agreement between you and Idion for the Provero app. By downloading or using Provero, you accept them.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Provero for your own use. If you obtained Provero from the Apple App Store, this licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and is subject to the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including any permitted family sharing. If you obtained Provero from Google Play, the equivalent Google Play terms apply.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute Provero, or copy, modify, decompile, or reverse engineer it except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits. Our Acceptable Use Policy describes further behaviour that is not allowed.

Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live in order to use Provero. If you are using it on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for them.

Accounts

You can use Provero without an account, and nothing in the app is gated behind one. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping access to it secure, and for what happens under it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. You can delete your own account at any time, from Settings inside the app, as described on our Account Deletion page.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Provero lawfully and as intended. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out what is not allowed, and it forms part of these terms.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions about Provero, including telling us which chain we are missing, we may use them without obligation to you. This does not affect your rights in anything else you create.

AI-written text

Provero uses AI for one thing you can see: a single sentence under each of the top three dishes, explaining why that dish is near the top. That sentence is informational, it is generated automatically, it can be incomplete or wrong, and it is not professional advice of any kind. Decisions you take remain yours.

Not medical advice

Provero is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app is a substitute for consulting a qualified professional, and you should not delay seeking care because of something the app said. If you have a medical concern, speak to a professional.

The "fits your day" band means only that a dish's published figures fit the calorie and protein targets you entered yourself, on that day. It is not a statement that a dish is healthy, and Provero makes no claim of that kind anywhere.

Subscriptions

Provero offers an optional paid subscription. Three restaurants are free and stay free; the subscription buys the fourth and everything after it. Prices, billing periods, and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy, and payment is taken by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms.

**Subscriptions renew automatically** at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending the period you have already paid for. If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy, except where the law where you live gives you a further right of withdrawal.

If a subscription lapses, every chain you had already opened stays open.

The offer shown if you cancel

If you start to cancel, we may show you a single discounted offer once. You can decline it and continue to the store's own cancellation page directly. We do not show it more than once, we do not show it to people who are already on the discounted plan, and we do not interrupt or intercept the store's own cancellation flow. The reason survey shown before it is skippable in one tap.

Intellectual property

Provero, including its software, design, and content, belongs to Idion and its licensors, and is protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a licence to use it, not any ownership of it.

The nutrition figures in Provero are published by the restaurant chains themselves, under the disclosure requirements that apply to them, and remain theirs. We republish them with attribution and a link to the source. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant chain, and chain names and marks belong to their owners.

If a third party claims that Provero infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple or Google, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.

Availability

We aim to keep Provero available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Access may be limited by maintenance, by problems outside our control, or by your own device or connection.

Changes to the app

We may change, add, or remove features as Provero develops, including which chains are in our table as chains publish, revise or withdraw their disclosures. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you in advance.

Links to other services

Provero links to services we do not operate, including each chain's own published nutrition disclosure, which is the source behind every figure in the app. We are not responsible for their content or their practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Third-party terms

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo, or designated by the United States government as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using Provero. Apple and Google, and their subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

Termination

You may stop using Provero at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the app. Terms that by their nature should survive termination do so.

Disclaimers

Provero is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Every figure in Provero is a chain's own published figure, shown with the date the chain published it and the date we last read it. We do not warrant that a chain's disclosure is itself accurate, current or complete, and a chain can change a recipe or a disclosure at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Idion is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of Provero. Our total liability for any claim relating to Provero is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Resolving a dispute

If something goes wrong, contact us first at [email protected]. Most problems are resolved that way and it is faster for both of us.

If we cannot resolve it informally, the courts identified below have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Governing law

Provero is operated by Idion, based in Spain. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and the courts of Spain have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.

Export compliance

You may not use or export Provero except as permitted by the laws of Spain, the European Union, and the United States, and by the laws of the place where it was obtained.

App store terms

If you downloaded Provero from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies. These terms are an agreement between you and Idion only, not with Apple or Google, and Apple and Google are not responsible for Provero or its content.

Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Provero. In the event Provero fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple or Google, and they may refund the purchase price, if any, but that is their only warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, or damages are our sole responsibility, not theirs.

Apple and Google are not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Provero, including product liability claims, claims that Provero fails to meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection law. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

Maintenance and support for Provero is our sole responsibility. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide it, and questions should be sent to the support address below.
